How are you? Do you feel as though things are coming at you from all directions right now? 2020 has been about claiming your true self, declaring what you want going forward in your new normal and now we are in a time of setting priorities. When things come at us, it is up to us to say this comes first, second, and on down the list to this is no longer important to me.
I get it, this summer has been a whirlwind for me as well. My son was taken to the ER when he stopped breathing and was diagnosed with Covid-19 and viral pneumonia. He has since released from the hospital since he has a 50% survival rate in order to heal at home. An avalanche of things then occurred for him to where we are leaving to go to Arizona, pack him up, and bring him home to our house to heal.
In this process, I have had to delegate some things, say no to a lot of people, stand my ground, ground myself and take time to chill so that I can be at my best for you, my family and my soul.
Yes; push back happens, but that is on them – not me. Be clear on that. Do not take on the energy of guilt. Those that truly love you will understand, be supportive and ask how they can help.
Those that think just of themselves, how they want you to be or how they want something to go is actually a gift. A gift of them acknowledging that they view your relationship as one sided. Trust me, we have definitely come up across those who we thought were friends during this time only to find out that they would put their wants above anything – including my son’s health.
When people show you who their true selves are – be grateful. Don’t excuse their behavior away. And don’t think you can change them.
So, where it can feel like life is coming at you; take time out for yourself and say thanks to your peeps that they are showing you your priorities.
Take care, stay healthy my friend, and always
Expect Miracles,
Kelli Lee
